The purpose of the Parks and Recreation Department is to provide indoor and outdoor leisure services to persons of all ages so they can develop skills, socialize, experience nature, relax and live a healthier lifestyle. Our aim is to help provide opportunities, activities and the facilities to bring pleasure to people’s lives. We are a part of the Philadelphia-Neshoba County Park Commission so we work in conjunction with Neshoba County to maintain and manage the parks
The Parks & Recreation Department has several facilities which can be reserved for a fee. Fees are outlined below.
Northside Park
The park is the hub of sports activities including youth baseball, softball, T-ball and football programs. Also, has a walking trail and picnic tables. The Senior Citizens Center is located in Northside Park.
- Rental Fees
- Senior Citizens Center - $400 security deposit / $300 rental fee
- Log Cabin - $100 security deposit / $100 rental fee
Westside Park
Contains the public swimming pool, playground, outdoor basketball courts and the Westside Community Center. The Community Center is used for many public and private events.

- Westside Community Center - $400 security deposit / $300 rental fee
Security deposits are reimbursable after the event. Forms can be filled out at City Hall.
